Dance, Theatre & Design
Art and its expression have always played a large role in my journey through the years in which theater has played a centering role in my journey. I’ve been heavily involved with entire productions both on and off stage, solidifying it as a deep-rooted passion for me. Through Theatre, I have learned the depth of complexity and creative expression that goes into artistic expression everyday thoughts, and complex interpersonal drama. I believe my experiences in this media have been a cornerstone in both my personal and academic growth, shaping me into a creative, expressive, and intentional artist.
Knowing early on that my heart was set on the stage, I was one of the few students from my high school selected for the NCPA Theatre Festival where I was immersed in the captivating art of stagecraft under the tutelage of a masterful director. Their mentorship illuminated to me the extent of the intricacies of production and the art of orchestrating a harmonious collaboration within a vast and dynamic ensemble. Through their guidance, I not only built a solid foundation but was also empowered to refine my acting skills with precision and passion. Chasing my passions, I went on to represent my high school in an international competition. Advancing to the finals with the OIS Forensic Team, I was exposed to a small segment of a much larger world I was just beginning to dip my feet into by engaging with different actor peers, cultures, and practices which all helped me on the journey to find my voice in my craft and abilities.

I stepped into the spotlight by playing a prominent role in my school musical, where I used the experiences I had acquired to help inspire others through my performance and inspiring my fellow actors to sharpen their performances through my understanding of the play's central theme of kindness, perseverance, and the triumph of good over evil. As Stage Manager for a middle school production of “The Box” I gained priceless experience and insight by working closely with directors, developing a detailed understanding of overall production management that added to my holistic learning experiences with the field. Furthermore, as I explored my passion in the constraints of an online setting, I began producing short-form solo acting content that showcased my creativity and innovation in content generation.
Music, much like theatre, became a canvas through which I could explore my creative boundaries. The harmonizing between these two art forms gave me the space to craft a unique voice, blending the theatrical with the melodic to shape a style that is distinctly my own.
This artistic journey was furthered by my seven years of dedicated vocal training, a commitment that has sharpened the extent of my skills and deepened my understanding of musical nuance. My pursuit of Trinity School of Music’s Rock and Pop certification is yet another milestone on this path, pushing me to refine my craft. To complement my vocal training in my passion for music I am also a self-taught ukeleist. I discovered an extraordinary freedom of expression that allows me to fuse my musicality with my passion for theatre.

A designer and creator focused on building on my strong drive for mental health literacy, which remains a large part of who I am today, I channeled my passion into action during the tumultuous years of the COVID-19 pandemic. With adolescents wrestling with the challenges of sustaining both mental and physical well-being in sudden and unprecedented isolation, I took it upon myself to design a solution. I harnessed my knowledge of technology and developed a simple but effective app on AppLab that was designed to be an innovative platform that not only encouraged balanced nutrition and regular physical activity but served as a holistic guide to creating a healthy lifestyle suited to individuals. I sought to empower my peers, encouraging resilience and well-being in the face of adversity.
