INTERNSHIPS

With an assortment of work experiences under my belt, I have dealt with a wide range of challenges whose experiences have helped me cultivate a strong mindset and skillset.

Through my journey, I’ve had several opportunities to work extensively with several different organizations through different industries. Working with large corporations to small niche businesses on marketing tactics and audience engagement strategies has been an incredible learning experience, allowing me to see the front face, the back end working, and the spanning and common fundamentals of the marketing process and how to effectively use collected data to infer and enact specific plans for optimized output.

During my research-intensive internship at Exotel, I had the rare opportunity to work side by side with the Vice President and Global Head of Marketing. This hands-on collaboration opened doors and gave me insight into an intricate world that few get to witness—the inner workings of a globally influential corporation. Immersing myself in this fast-paced, highly strategic environment, I was given a front-row seat to the complexities of corporate decision-making and marketing at scale. I used my skills to conduct comprehensive analyses and crystallize complex information into a concise and informative format to help provide actionable insights.

I think marketing is about great storytelling, and I had the opportunity to immerse myself in this ever-expanding world during my internship at Infectious Advertising where I collaborated closely with several different individuals who were part of the marketing process. One of the highlights of my experience here was working on an advertisement for Under Armour featuring the renowned athlete Neeraj Chopra, through which I developed a stronger understanding of storytelling in advertising and the use of pathos in appeal.

Using my marketing tactic insights and ability to effectively communicate information, I brought my skillset to my role as the Marketing Head for The Pysch Times and as Communications Team Head for TED-Ed. While both organizations had different holistic goals and purposes, I oversaw the management of social media accounts, content generation, and marketing strategies-  improving audience engagement and generating ingenious content for each respective organization.

I believe in a rapidly industrializing and commodifying world it is becoming increasingly important to support and enrich small businesses that produce artisanal craftsmanship for a niche market market. So, I soon found myself working with Design for SAA, an organization combating a world running on fast fashion by providing personalized fashion experiences. I worked closely with the visionary founder and was given more creative leeway to completely reimagine the website and revitalize its content to better identify and appeal to its target base.

I’ve always felt the deep-rooted importance of mental health and the advocacy of literacy in this field. My passion for this eventually led me to found a social initiative called EQHigh, where we aimed to help develop EQ in today’s younger generation for healthier holistic mental growth. Although arduous, through its inception I collaborated with Teach for India for several weeks, ran social media outreach activities, and worked with other mental health organizations like WOW Mental Health and Pragya to run wide-reaching, comprehensive campaigns. I believe educating people about mental health through healthy, constructive institutions is one of the most important tasks we can and should take up as a society.
